Terms of Service for Healthy Meal Map

Effective date: March 26, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Healthy Meal Map mobile application and related services provided by Torrey Systems, LLC, operated under the developer account of Ford Davis.

By using Healthy Meal Map, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Healthy Meal Map. If you are under the age of majority in your state, you may use the app only with appropriate permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.

2. Description of the Service

Healthy Meal Map helps users discover restaurants and meal options that may align with certain dietary preferences or health-oriented goals. Features may include restaurant listings, search, recommendations, location-based results, saved preferences, and related informational content.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the app at any time.

3. Accounts

Some features may require an account. You may be able to sign in using Apple or Google.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it current.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for the service or other users.

4. Health, Nutrition, and Medical Disclaimer

Healthy Meal Map does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or individualized nutritional counseling.

Restaurant listings, nutritional values, meal classifications, ingredient assumptions, health scores, and diet recommendations may be estimated, incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or not appropriate for your personal health needs.

You should consult a physician, registered dietitian, or other qualified healthcare professional before making any dietary, nutrition, or lifestyle changes. This is especially important if you have a medical condition, food allergy, metabolic disorder, eating disorder history, pregnancy-related needs, or take medication affected by diet.

Certain diets or dietary restrictions may cause serious negative health consequences for some individuals if followed without professional medical guidance.

By using the app, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • you are responsible for your own health and dietary decisions
  • you will seek appropriate professional advice before making material lifestyle or dietary changes
  • you use the app and rely on its content at your own risk

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Torrey Systems, LLC, Ford Davis, and their affiliates disclaim liability for adverse health outcomes, injuries, losses, or damages arising from or related to use of the app, including reliance on diet recommendations, nutrition estimates, or restaurant information.

5. No Warranty as to Accuracy

We do not guarantee that restaurant data, menu information, ingredients, pricing, hours, availability, nutritional estimates, or dietary labels are accurate, complete, or current.

Restaurants may change recipes, ingredients, preparation methods, and menu offerings without notice. Cross-contact, allergens, hidden ingredients, and preparation details may not be reflected in app content.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the app for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes
  • Interfere with or disrupt the app or its infrastructure
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data
  • Copy, scrape, reverse engineer, or exploit the app except as permitted by law
  • Use the app in a way that infringes the rights of others

7. User Content

If the app allows you to submit content, feedback, reviews, lists, or other materials, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, and display that content as needed to operate and improve the service.

You represent that you have the rights necessary to submit any content you provide.

8. Intellectual Property

Healthy Meal Map, including its software, design, branding, text, graphics, and content created by us, is owned by or licensed to Torrey Systems, LLC and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not grant you ownership of the app or any related intellectual property.

9. Third-Party Services and Content

The app may integrate with or rely on third-party providers, including Apple, Google, DigitalOcean, Firebase, Google Analytics, Google Maps, Google Places, Stripe, OpenRouter, and model providers made available through OpenRouter, including but not limited to Anthropic and OpenAI.

We are not responsible for third-party services, content, policies, or availability.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the app at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk, or misused the service.

You may stop using the app at any time. You may delete your account from the in-app profile page or request deletion by emailing support@healthymealmap.com.

11. Disclaimers

The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Torrey Systems, LLC and Ford Davis disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and availability.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or that the app will be error-free, secure, or meet your expectations.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Torrey Systems, LLC, Ford Davis, and their affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of Healthy Meal Map.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from or relating to the app will not exceed the greater of:

  • the amount you paid to use the app in the 12 months before the claim, or
  • $100

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Torrey Systems, LLC, Ford Davis, and their affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and agents from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of:

  • your use of the app
  • your violation of these Terms
  • your violation of applicable law
  • your infringement of another person's rights

14. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

Any dispute arising out of these Terms or the app shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California, and you consent to that jurisdiction and venue.

15. Communications

By creating an account or using the app, you agree that we may send you service-related communications, including account, security, support, and operational messages. Where permitted by law, we may also send you promotional communications. You can opt out of promotional emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in those messages. You may not opt out of important service-related communications.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice where appropriate. Continued use of the app after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
